Yuzuru Hanyu’s LINE donation stickers are on sale for a limited time


Today, March 11, 2019, marks the eighth anniversary of the Tohoku Earthquake. LINE Corporation announced that donation stickers created under Hanyu’s supervision are now on sale for 240 JPY. All of the proceeds of the “Yuzuru Hanyu 3.11SMILE sticker” will be donated to the Nippon Foundation’s Special Fund for Disaster Preparedness.


Yuzuru Hanyu, who won two gold medals in the winter Olympic Games as a figure skater is from Miyagi prefecture. He has been holding various campaigns to support the Tohoku district including his hometown. They say that about 52 thousand victims still live in evacuation facilities there.


24 stickers are included in the set. The pictures of Hanyu taken before, during and after the competitions he entered are used in the stickers. He also added useful phrases on LINE messages and positive phrases.
The special sets are available till April 11, 2019.
